Thin film Application Drive for LDRM

Every 1.5 seconds a 40 rpm slow rotating mechanism wipes off non-evaporated concentrate on the inside of each tube and spreads a new thin film for partial evaporation. Each small gear shown turns a mechanism in a tube.

The picture is for the LDRM which has 65 tubes in a common shell.

The SDRM uses the two smaller concentric rows of tubes and gears (22 tubes), eliminating the outer two rows and related large ring gear with a much smaller diameter shell. A small motor turns the ring gear(s).

The configuration has little friction because the wipers and applicators ride on an ultra-thin film of water in each tube.
